Hello folks! We’re Jhawn and Nicholas, the co-founders of Kidslovr and since this is our very first Blogspot, we thought we’d take the opportunity to introduce ourselves!

Both of us grew up with our parents working in the food and supply industry. Jhawn grew up in a seafood farm while Nic’s parents were in the industry of food manufacturing. We had a passion for entrepreneurship and always wanted to build a brand that brings a positive impact to our society.
The main inspiration for this concept was from Jhawn’s experience serving in his church’s Sunday School. He noticed a trend that children in our modern age are heavily reliant on gadgets or don’t spend much time with their parents who are working. The result? These kids develop slightly more isolated and distant, especially from the family. Approaching Nic on this observation, we decided to come together to build a company that advocates love and family bonding time.
This marked the start of our grocery business. Whilst building our online platform, we wanted to learn the ins-and-outs of the grocery trade. Our humble yet important beginnings were a wet market stall in Bukit Panjang. It was hard work having to rise at 4am and get the business ready by 7! Our experience multiplied daily and our greatest delight was discovering new things about our products, suppliers, and ways of business. This exposure begot for us the opportunity to speak to more experienced grocers of the trade, many of whom became our business mentors. For that we remain grateful. These milestones and exposure were instrumental in guiding our online business.
A few months after Kidslovr was born, we announced our online website. That was where decided to shift our efforts to online, applying the lessons we learnt at the wet market. To date, we are still learning and finding new ways to improve our operations and serve our customers better. It has been a big rollercoaster but it has been worth it!
With Kidslovr, we hope to equip busy modern parents with the tools to spend more time with their kids and build precious memories in the long run. Hence, we envisioned our platform as an ecosystem where parents enjoy a hassle-free experience with grocery shopping while encouraging them to prepare home-cooked meals for their little ones.
COVID-19 has given us lots of challenges and opportunities at the same time. Nonetheless, we’re grateful for our hardworking team and supportive customers who share in our vision of kinship and family bonding. We have lots of fun and exciting ideas that we can’t wait to share with you, so stick around and stay tuned!
Many have asked why Kidslovr (Kids Love) ends with an “R”. "R" stands for relationship!
With Lovr,
